2021 Mountain People Pinot Gris
Farmed by Laurence & Susan Mockler in the foothills of Mount Canobolas. Some serious elevation here at 950m. The soils are basalt, originating from flows off the Mountain. Half of the wine was aged on it’s own skins, as well at the introduction of skins from Gewurztraminer for aromatics and structure. Oxidatively handled juice, wild ferment, 4 months in old barrels, unfiltered, unfined. Only 282 cases made.
