2021 Barossa Wine Cartel Mutant
Smells like apricots, pears, peaches, preserved lemon and orange rind.
Tastes like breakfast juice with alcohol in it! Loads of fruit flavour, but with some texture from the skins. Made from Red Semillon, a mutation of Semillon, honestly we aren't quite sure how to even classify this one, is it a white a red, or even a rosé, the term 'Mutant' seems appropriate.
During the cooler months, try and serve it at room temperature to maximise the flavour, or if its warm weather, pop it in the fridge.
Josh Pfieffer and his wife Ellen are Barossa Wine Cartel. Both with incredibly impressive backgrounds, they really shine here, playful wines that they clearly get a lot of joy out of making and drinking too we are guessing...
