2020 Two Tonne Tasmania TMV Pinot Noir
Ricky Evans has been making wine under his Two Tonne Tasmania label since 2013, the first year he managed to get his hands on… (wait for it) Two Tonnes of Tasmanian Pinot 🥁. Since then, he's increased his stash with grapes now coming from across the island to be made into beautiful wines at his Tamar Valley winery.
From little parcels of fruit that span pretty much the whole valley, this is the most expansive version of TMV produced thus far, patches from Ricky's own four sites join forces with a couple of growers to paint his version of how he sees his part of the world.
This is a prettier, lighter expression of this wine. Juicy and vibrant, red fruits and spice. There is softness within its warm heart, it leaves you with a trail of freshness and closes with strawberry seed-like tannin.
