2020 Gentle Folk Scary Gully Pinot Noir
Pretty and floral, hints of forest floor and savoury red fruits, enough to keep it interesting but not over bearing, light bodied with tamed acidity. The Scary Gully vineyard is one of the highest and oldest in the Adelaide Hills. There is more quartz in this vineyard so it's a bit more delicate in taste. 2020 produced minuscule amounts of fruit, so the bottles are only allocated to venues around Australia.
There really are few teams in Australia doing such a great job at the moment than Adelaide Hills duo Gareth and Rainbo Belton of Gentle Folk wines. We can’t imagine how hard it is going to be to get our hands on these wines in the years to come.
