2019 Joshua Cooper ‘The Old Port RIgh Vineyard’ Chardonnay
This is pronounced The Old Poor Tree for some reason. Don't let anyone tell you differently.
Of all Josh Cooper's whites, this is the one that best responds to cellaring. It's so tight when it's first released each year. All potential but with only very subtle aromas of flowers and flint.
The length and power though is undeniable. Such concentration and vitality. If you're going to drink this now, you'd be doing the wine a disservice not to give it as much time as possible in a decanter or the like.
