2019 Bruno Duchene Odin
After a stint working for natural wine superstar Frederick Cossard in Burgundy, Duchene set himself up on the unforgiving, rugged seaside slopes of Banyuls to make elegant, sensual reds from his four old vine blocks.
Odin is one of the more recent wines from Duchene and it is constantly evolving. This year it sees Carignan and Syrah aged in amphora. It's one of a few of the rarer Duchene wines, named after Bruno's boat, and a bit of a change of pace from his usual style. This has a deep, bold structure but the amphora creates a lovely texture that makes for delicious drinking.
