2018 Anne & Jean-François Ganevat Blanc Agité
A project Jean-Francois has launched with his sister, Anne in response to a run of recent poorly-yielding vintages in the Jura. The 2018 Anne & Jean-François Ganevat wines are an excuse for the duo to turn the experimental dial up to eleven, and to shift some of the focus beyond the boundaries of the Jura.
This new cuvée from Anne and Jean-Francois Ganevat is produced from equal parts Chardonnay and Savagnin that has been skin-macerated. The wine is vinified ouillé, which means that barrels are topped up regularly to prevent oxidation. Notes of green apple, yellow fruit, and crushed stones dominate the wine’s ultra-refreshing palate. Still not calling this one an orange though. It stays in the white section.
