2018 Si Vintners ‘Bella’ Chardonnay
Si Vintners is about natural farming. They aim to truly express the land upon which their vines grow, with minimal intervention in both the vineyard and winery.
Basically, in our eyes, it’s Si Vintners and maybe four or five other guys who are reimagining what’s possible in Margaret River. These are wines that are still very much of their place, but are much more restrained and detailed than many of the bottlings coming from the region.
The Bella is pressed to mostly old oak and left for a year, then bottled and rested for another six months. Citrus Acid with refreshing zip. Some creaminess. Much deliciousness.
