2018 Les Fruits Occitan
Tim Stock is a long-time Australian wine importer, turned winemaker. Made out of the Commune of Buttons winery in the Adelaide Hills, the wines show the distinct influence of many, many years of working with some of the finest wines in the world.
Made from grapes farmed using biodynamic principals, the 2018 Les Fruits Occitan is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan that takes its inspiration from the reds of the south of France.
Brisk acidity, fine whole bunch tannins, a thick texture and rich flavours down the back of the throat. The dark fruit creates a subtle background with savoury-sweet leather, earth and herbs.
This would go great with charcuterie or by itself, perhaps with a quick chill.
