2018 Borachio ‘Flat Out’
Before they were rock star natural winemakers, Mark and Alicia helped make wine with James Erskine at Jauma wines. Now they make wines with a similar philosophy but a totally different aesthetic — more punk rock, more Australiana.
The ruby-tinged 2018 Flat Out is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Savagnin from the Adelaide Hills. It shows bright aromas of ripe strawberry, pomegranate, and lime flower. At 11% it is refreshing and drinks more like a light red with bold flavours and crunchy acidity on the finish.
Serve chilled, with mates, in the sun if possible.
