2017 Le Coste Nini e Lulu Syrah
Syrah doesn't spring to mind when we think of central Italy, but this bright, jovial wine from Gianmarco Antonuzzi and Clémentine Bouveron might just change that.
This Syrah is hand-harvested from vines grown in volcanic, mineral-rich soil. It then undergoes carbonic maceration to give the body and fruit a Beaujolais like beauty, then goes to sleep in oak for one year. Nothing added and nothing taken away, giving a berry-full, energetic red perfect for lazy Sunday afternoons.
