Jean-Yves Péron spent some time working for Thiery Allemand in Cornas and Bruno Schuller in Alsace, before returning home to the Savoie. There, he works his some very old vines, grown on schist at altitudes of between 350 and 550 meters. Everything is biodynamic.  

He is especially interested in cultivating and protecting the ancient varieties of his region. Rare grapes like the Mondeuse that makes up this blend (along with Gamay). The maceration here is very light even though it takes place over five days. Some might call it a light red. Whatever it is, it’s delicious, intensely mineral and exhilarating.
