2016 Maison En Belles Lies Bourgogne Blanc
Burgundy continues to be among the most traditional regions in France when it comes to natural winemaking. So when a producer as talented as Pierre Fenals decides to make the move from Paris to Saint Aubin to begin making biodynamic, addition-free wines, it's worth paying attention.
The fruit that goes into his Bourgogne Blanc is all from Côte de Beaune vineyards not far from the estate. It features the trademark vitality and brilliant acidity that is evident in all of his wines. There is no new oak here, no batonnage, just piercing apple fruit and stoney minerality.
