2016 Latta Vino ‘Bad Reputation’ Viognier
Owen Latta has really made a name for himself in the past few years. The Bad Reputation is one of the wines that flies a little under the radar, much like the grape variety it’s made with – Viognier.
The name comes from the way that most people familiar with Viognier feel about it. It’s considered to be overly alcoholic, oily, oaky, with flavours more like tinned spc than real apricot. Not so here. This is restrained, lightly fruity, delicious, the way Viognier really should be. Such a great introduction to a very underrated grape.
